New classes alert! New classes alert!!

You know those times when you have every intention of sitting down and getting a project done?  And then you sit down, and the phone rings, or the dog throws up, or the neighbor kid shows up at the door, and somehow, some way, the day doesn't go as planned, and your project gets pushed to the side?  Well, I personally have no experience with this.  Nope, my day ALWAYS goes exactly as planned, and I get EVERYTHING done.  And if you believe that, well, you know what they say about some swampland in Florida. . . .

At any rate, I was FINALLY able to upload some pictures of my new Off-the-Page class, and my workshop classes for June.  Let me tell you, I am EXCITED about these classes!!  The "paper-of-the-month" in June is Close To My Heart's new Splendor line, and it makes me smile just looking at all the happy, cheery colors!  Take a look at the pix, and shoot me an email, or call me if you're ready to have some fun and get some projects finished.  I only have 6 spots for each class time, so sign up early if you're interested!

Altered Clipboard class using the new Splendor line of paper

The first class I want to show you is the Off-the-Page class.  This class is all about non-traditional ways to display memories, and in June, we'll make a totally adorable altered clipboard.  The clipboard measures 14 1/2" x 12 1/2" x 1/4", and has a keyhole on the back of the hinge, which makes it suitable for hanging.  It can be painted, stamped on, or papered.  We will use gorgeous papers from the Splendor line to cover the front, and we'll make a file folder that can hold an 8x10 photo, or several smaller photos.  Learn how to create your own customized embellishments using products such as chipboard Dimensional Elements, clear buttons, acrylic stamps and Liquid Glass.  The front of the file folder can be left blank, or customized with a stamped sentiment or a journaling block.  Makes a GREAT gift for that special teacher at the end of the year!

Students will need to bring:  12" paper trimmer, lots of adhesive (I recommend Tombow Mono adhesive, and will have some that can be purchased at the class if need be),  small detail scissors, a paper piercer if you have one, and a positive attitude.

Wednesday, June 9, 6:30-9:30 (6 spots)
Sunday, June 13, 2:30-5:30 (only 4 spots left!)
Monday, June 14, 6:30-9:30 (6 spots)

Scrapbook Workshop on the Go

The Splendor scrapbooking and card Workshop On The Go classes feature the My Acrylix Summer Wishes B-size stamp set, available only with the Workshop On the Go kit.  These playful images paired with the Splendor level 2 paper packet and coordinating accessories are perfect for preserving all your summer memories.  Plus, the new Irresistables chipboard pieces are the coolest thing ever!!  Come see what the buzz is about and celebrate summer's splendors by joining me for these two workshops.  Here's how it works:  purchase the Basic Kit, and any additional accessories you might like.  Decide whether you would like to make 2 scrapbook pages or 6 cards, (see pictures above) and sign up for that class date.  Easy Peasy!!

The Basic kit includes:
~My Acrylix Summer Wishes Stamp Set
~My Reflections Splendor level 2 paper pack
     ~Irresistables Pizzazz Chipboard die-cuts
~Full color workshop guide with directions and cutting guide
~$32.85 retail value, you pay $29.95 (plus S/H and tax)

Enhance your pages and create the image shown by adding a couple of embellishments:
     ~Glitz Stardust Glitter Gel, $2.95
     ~Brads Autumn Harvest Assortment,  $4.95

There is enough product in the Basic Kit to complete 4 scrapbook pages, and at least 10 cards.  Amazing!! I will teach both a scrapbook class, and a card class, using the Basic Kit.  I recommend the additional accessories, because they just add so much to the pages and cards.

Students need to bring: 12" paper trimmer, LOTS of adhesive of your choice (I recommend Tombow Mono adhesive, and will have some for purchase at the class), small detail scissors, paper piercer if you have one, and a good attitude!  :-)

Scrapbook Class:  Wednesday, June 16, 12-2:30pm  OR Wednesday, June 16, 7-9:30pm

Card Class:  Tuesday June 29, 12-2:30pm OR Tuesday, June 29, 7-9:30pm

If you would like to pick your own class date, and create one of these projects with a group of friends at YOUR house, I would be happy to schedule a private class.  Minimum number of participants: 5

WHEW!  Long post!  I'm almost done, but do want to let you know that if you would like to earn some FREE product in the month of June, what better way than to host your own CTMH party.  I still have some open party dates available:  June 8, 10, 12, 19, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28.  Let me know which date works best for you, and then start making your wish list!!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

Ok, Ok, I know I'm a day late with this post, but I was busy watching my daughter rock the house at her State gymnastics meet yesterday.  She placed in all 4 events, as well as All-Around, so it was an awesome day!  I have some great pictures to scrap, and can't wait to get into my craft room to play  :-)

So not only is May 1st National Scrapbooking Day, it is also the first day of our new Stamp Of The Month promotion!  May's stamp set is an adorable little set called "Cherish the Moment".  It is an extremely versatile set, with sentiments for many different occassions.  Click here to see the beginning of a blog hop featuring this cute little set.  Over 60 consultants created projects with the set, and posted them for all of us to see!  Look at the project, then click the link at the end to go directly to the next blog and new project.  They are all so cute!  I have to figure out a way to get involved with this blog hop thing. . . hmmmmmmm. . . . Anyway, go check it out!  And click here to get a better picture of the stamps, as well as find out how you can get the set at a discount, or even FREE!!!!!

I'm taking a quick break from making kits for the classes I am teaching this week.  This will be the first of several classes, and I can't wait!  Click the link at the top of the page to see the events calendar.

Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful week-end!
