Challenges, challenges!!

Well, back in November, I promised I would start posting more projects that I made for challenges.  Today, I make good on that promise.  I needed a few cards this week for various things, so I used the challenges as my starting point.  Here is what I came up with:

MOJO MONDAY:

These were the sketches to follow for Mojo Monday this week.

Here is what I made:

A close up of the flower:

I used the new Canvas Badge Buttons to stamp the bird on.  So cute!

Materials used:
paper:  Veranda, Cocoa cardstock, Colonial White cardstock
inks:  Juniper, Cocoa
embellishments:  Colonial White ribbon, Basics Buttons, Canvas Badge Buttons
stamp sets:  The Present (D1436), A Little Thanks (D1444)

Heart2Heart challenge:

The next challenge was the Heart2Heart challenge.  I wasn't able to copy the original sketch, but you can see it here.  This is what my card looks like.  I used our circle cards as my base.

In the next picture, you can see a few of the chipboard pieces I used.  They are from the Lucky Assortment pack....I LOVE that Close To My Heart offers embellishments to match their paper packs.  Makes it soooooo easy to complete a project!  On this card, I simply stamped directly on the chipboard piece, to customize the sentiment.  So simple!

And you see that little tiny piece of "zig-zag" stick out behind the scooter??  That's a piece of one my favorite new embellishments....Kraft Ready Borders.  They are self-adhesive, strips of fun borders that you can stamp on, or ink 'em up.  I've been using them like crazy.  That's because they come 50 pieces to a pack, for just $5.95, so I can afford to use them like crazy!!!!

Materials used:
paper:  Lucky Level 2 paper pack
ink:  Outdoor Denim
embellishments:  Lucky Level 2 Assortment, Kraft Ready Borders
